About us
The Black Ivy League Business Conference
The University of Pennsylvania’s Black Wharton Undergraduate Association (BWUA) is proud to host the 11th Annual Black Ivy League Business Conference (BILBCon). The Black Ivy League Business Conference was founded in 2016 as an elite conference whose purpose is to bring together ambitious and high-achieving Black students for two days to offer them a unique platform to collectively further their professional development. The Black Ivy League Business Conference stands out as a cornerstone event, embodying BWUA’s profound commitment to diversity and inclusion. This distinguished conference draws in over 200 undergraduate students from all Ivy League institutions and prestigious HBCU’s Howard University, Morehouse, and Spelman each bringing their unique backgrounds and insights, thereby uniting and empowering undergraduate students who share a common interest in business. BWUA, with its diverse membership spanning various majors and industry interests, provides a broad spectrum of perspectives and expertise, enriching the conference experience.
The 11th Annual Black Ivy League Business Conference is dedicated to showcasing Black excellence across diverse industries by recognizing character, culture, and lived experience as powerful assets. Grounded in the understanding that racial adversity is not a setback but a strength shaped by Black experience, the conference illuminates how resilience and creativity can drive leadership within a professional world not built for us. Through intentional storytelling and community-building, we aim to inspire both the creation and maintenance of spaces by us and for us that affirm our identity, cultivate opportunity, and redefine success within the business world.
